Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse Makeup Tutorial #30428

Hey dolls! Since Halloween is fast approaching, I decided to do some character makeup tutorials that will compliment your costume! Since Barbie has so many different looks, I made it specific to the show Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse (you can watch it here!~ http://barbie.com/en-us/videos/life-in-the-dreamhouse) Here are the pictures I found on Pinterest that we will be using for reference~

Supplies

• Falsies (I used half sized ones) and lash glue
• Black mascara
• Black stick eyeliner
• Light pink lip gloss
• White pencil liner
• Black liquid liner
• Pink blush
• Bronzer
• Pink lip color (1)
• Hot pink eyeshadow (2)
• Black eyeshadow (3)
• White shimmery eyeshadow (4)

Step One

After moisturizer of course, apply the bronzer all over your face. You could also use a darker colored foundation. This is to get closer to Barbie's skin tone, as I'm pale and have freckles *^^*. Also apply it on your neck and any collarbone area you have showing so it's consistent. If you are good at contouring, make your nose look thin like Barbies. I'm afraid I'm not that skilled yet ^^". Also in this photo, I tried to replicate Barbie's "half ponytail and bangs to the side" hairstyle.

Step Two

Line your eye closely with the liquid liner. Bring the line all the way to your inner corner, but make it very thin, as this is only to get the "outlined eyes" effect, not the heavy makeup effect ^^". Make the line thicker near the outer corner and drag it down a bit. Put white in your waterline and a thin line below your eye as well. Line your bottom line under this white with the stick liner, making it thinner and lighter as you get closer to your inner corner. Make it fade out before it actually reaches. At your outer corner, make this bottom line connect with the top line. If you are using the half-falsies, apply them towards the outer corner of your eye. I used half sized ones because Barbie's eyelashes re the longest and thickest in the outer corner, not all around. Apply a lot of mascara to the rest of your top lashes. Don't put any on your bottom ones, as the bottom of Barbie's eye is a straight line, not framed with lashes.

Step Three

Eyeshadow time! Start by putting white eyeliner on your inner corner, with the white eyeshadow (color number 4) on top. Then, apply the hot pink eyeshadow (color number 2) on your lid in the center. Apply lots, so you get Barbie's signature color! Lastly, apply the black eyeshadow (color number 3) on your outer corner and in your crease, making a point at the corner to really accentuate your lashes. You can also lightly apply the white shadow on your brow bone, but it's optional.

Step Four

Apply the pink lip color to your lips (color number 1) and finish it off with a light pink gloss. Unfortunately, theres not much I can do about getting Barbie's perfect teeth ^^". Apply some blush to highlight your cheeks, and you're done! Accessorize with sparkly jewelry, and don't forget the pink! Comment below what other characters you'd like a tutorial for!
